Some Suggestions for Contributors

Some Notes on Style for the Manual_2nd-ed
- When someone has accepted the task for a section, others may also contribute, but as a courtesy work with the manager if you have suggestions for change.
- Try not to bite off more than you can chew -- be realistic about what you can accomplish. At the same time, try to develop a discipline about it -- at least try to do at least one edit a day. If nothing else, it keeps you thinking about this from time to time.
- If you think something doesn't work well, try to make a positive suggestion that helps explain any criticism or shows a better way.
- Try to keep things friendly -- working as a group on something like this is difficult enough even without clashing egos.
- If you get bogged down, busy with other things, let us know so that we can find someone else to pick up where you left off. Every contribution is appreciated.
| Use this for items which need to be added, but do not have a particular form yet -- sidebars, graphics, might even end up being in the body text. Align left or right according to your needs. Use this as a template. |
|
Use this for comments in the body of your page for reminders about things to do before final production. |
